An Exciting Annoucement

Mr J and I

Four days ago on the 22nd of December, Mr J and I took another step in our lives together. A step that will keep me smiling for days, months, years and forever. A step that shows commitment and gives excitement. A step in which we can’t wait to share with the world.

Mr J is no longer my boyfriend, he is my FIANCEE!

Yes, WE ARE ENGAGED!!

The proposal was perfect for us. I wouldn’t change a thing and I’m super excited for what God has in store for us.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. – 1 John 4:7

Happy Christmas

Christmas has been. Boxing Day is here. What a great season this is.

Christmas to me > Jesus’s Birthday. Retelling of the birth of Jesus. Celebration. Family. Friends. Love. Church. Food. More Food. Leftover Food. Laughs. Happiness. Giving. Gratefulness. Shopping. Craft. Food.

What a great Christmas this was. I hope that all my family who are interstate had a very blessed Christmas and I thank everyone for their company, laughs, gifts and happiness we shared over the last couple days. I may have put on five kilos, but it was worth it!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

“Today is the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; He is the Messiah the Lord.” – Luke 2:11

What did your Christmas look like?

Some excitement within my week… PLAY BALL!

This week has been full of work, however other exciting things have been happening! I experienced two baseball games in one week!

Number one was where we cheered Adelaide Bite on at Norwood Oval. We clapped to the interval songs, cheered, brought out some of our dance moves, laughed a lot, experienced five minutes in a limo and enjoyed the time spent with friends and not to mention the baseball too! This game prepared me for game number two {I was understanding the rules much better by now}. Game number two starred Mr J! The first game I had seen him play and he amazed me. Not being biased or anything but he was best of the field. Two hours felt like five minutes. Go the Dodgers!

What Dad left behind

Also, the weather has been stinking today! Hot! The brother decided to use the hose to wet everyone, unexpectedly. By this photo, I think Dad got a little wet.

The Living Nativity

Lobethal Living Nativity

Yesterday, after a delicious dinner and dessert at our local recreation ground with the family, Mr J and I ended the evening by viewing The Living Nativity. We heard the story of Jesus’ birth and witnessed our friends super acting skills. Christmas is only seven sleeps away!  I hope all of your Christmas preparations are being conquered and are able to remember the true meaning of this season in the midst of it all.

Living is fun!

Last night I was thankful to share the evening with my two best friends, Mr J and Loz. We sang carols by glowstick, played cards and watched The Vicar of Dibley. These two people make me laugh more than I think is possible.

It felt like we rose when the sun did this morning, but we did it for fun! We attended a Car Boot Sale in our local town. Something I definitely want to do again {& have added The Worlds Biggest Car Boot Sale to my bucket list}, it inspires me to spring clean in every season! My only problem was resisting buying the old classy photo frames and jars available.

Ballet

This afternoon, Loz and I re-visited our highschool to watch a great friend in her ballet concert, Choreography 2012. Wow, I admired every single dancer. I’m also super proud to say that I have a friend with so much talent, beautifull-ness, elegance and was a choreographer of one of the items, The Portrait. Amazement.

Bring on  another week of earning money! Happy Sunday night everyone.

Christmas is a’comin!

It's Christmas!

For those advent calendar eaters – I hope you have enjoyed your first six treats! Only three more days until we can start driving around Lobethal looking at Christmas lights. Christmas cards are written, carols are playing and our tree is nearly up! This season excites me like bananas excite a monkey. I only wish that chocolate, pudding and biscuits were vegetables. What are you doing to prepare for Christmas?

The Surprise Date

I Love You Everyday Mr J!

Yesterday, the 2nd of December, Mr J and I celebrated three years together.

For two weeks I had been looking forward to our anniversary eve. Mr J had informed me he was taking me to a surprise destination, I was to wear formal and be ready by 7:30pm. At that time, Mr J drove in the driveway in his new outfit and looking very swish. I was trusted to close my eyes from the bottom of the freeway for the final ten minute drive. I tried to guess where we were heading but with my directional skills, no luck! The car was parked and I opened my eyes to this incredible and impressive restaurant. Wow! We were seated at a window seat where we had a prime view of Adelaide’s lights, & the best seat for some fireworks in the distance and plane landings. The food was incredible and the experience was even better. Mr J and I shared so many laughs and conversation. I was spoilt.

I can’t thank God enough for blessing me with a man who I can call my true love, partner in crime, best friend, support, inspiration and personal comedian. We have shared so many amazing and difficult times together which have got us to where we are now and I wouldn’t change a thing! Mr J, thank you for being you and wanting to get to know me back in 2009.Happy Anniversary Mr J!

Two Are Better Than One

I read this verse today. ‘Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.’ Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. It made me feel amazingly grateful for the relationships I have in my life. Thank you Lord for giving me people to laugh with, give advice, hug without hesitation and help in times of need.

I also think pastel purple and pastel green have a good relationship. In this summer-like weather they compliment each other like schnitzel and gravy.
