Happy Christmas

Christmas has been. Boxing Day is here. What a great season this is.

Christmas to me > Jesus’s Birthday. Retelling of the birth of Jesus. Celebration. Family. Friends. Love. Church. Food. More Food. Leftover Food. Laughs. Happiness. Giving. Gratefulness. Shopping. Craft. Food.

What a great Christmas this was. I hope that all my family who are interstate had a very blessed Christmas and I thank everyone for their company, laughs, gifts and happiness we shared over the last couple days. I may have put on five kilos, but it was worth it!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

“Today is the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; He is the Messiah the Lord.” – Luke 2:11

Inspire #4

Success can be created from the assistance of a super attitude. & from experience. Sometimes the little things in our life can be just as important than the big things! These quotes cover that pretty well.

Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success. ~Swarni Sivananda

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things ~ Robert Brault

HAPPY FATHERS DAY! Today I enjoyed the little and big things. Mr J and I attended church in the morning  which was followed by a beautiful spring drive to a castle for lunch. Here we celebrated my grandmas 80th and were thankful for our fathers. My brother and I gave dad some of his favourite nuts which were almost gone by the evening {with something else on it’s way}. The night finished with Mr J’s relatives. Today taught me that I could fit in a weeks worth of food into my stomach in one day… it was good! Before bed I was inspired by this on tv. Tonight I had to hang one leg out of the covers due to warmth. Spring is here!

The Wedding

Yesterday Mr J and I bought a card for the wedded couple. After looking at a few. We loved and agreed with what it said:

When the Lord joins man and women, the two as one should be, yet in the home they share with Him – in faith, the two are three… He multiplies their blessings, their sadness He divides and for their different dreams and needs, He equallly provides… He adds to their fullfillment and takes away their care, and one in Him, their total life abounds with love to spare!

So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not seperate. ~Matthew 19:6

Today we shared a beautiful day with an amazing couple. The ceremony was gorgeous. American weddings tend to be bigger than Australian weddings, for example today there were 7 groomsman and 7 bridesmaids + 1 junior bridesmaid. The ceremony was a true celebration, with incredible and lovely decorations and joyful environement. God provided an incredbile day for the newly married couple today and we thank him for allowing us to be apart of it. The reception also allowed me to learn some American line dancing and Mr J and I met some more lovely people. We left the night with a bag of homemade cookies made by loved ones of the newly weds.

& here are a couple of my favourites of Mr J and I on the night…

Happy Mothers Day!

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.  ~Tenneva Jordan

Mothers day is a great excuse to show you mum, grandma’s and female role models how thankful you are to have them in your life.

Today, I was able to go to church and have breakfast with Nana S, have lunch with mum which followed with afternoon tea and chiter chat with Nan K. I’m so priveldged and blessed to have such beautiful women in my life.

To all the mum’s out there, Happy Mother’s Day!

Children from the junior youth handed out biscuits to all the mum’s at church today.

International No Diet Day

Yesterday – 6th May 2012 was International No Diet Day. I know I’m a day late but not too late to “Plate Up The Positives”

International No Diet Day (INDD) is an annual celebration of body acceptance and diversity.

I never knew such a day existed, but wow! Mary Evans Young is a GENIUS.

The idea of INDD came to Mary Evans Young over a coffee break. The women were discussing whether or not they would eat a biscuit. She became irritated by everyone’s comments: “Oh, I’ll just have one”, “I shouldn’t really”, “Oh all right then”. When Mary Evans asked the group “What do you think would happen if you spent as much time and energy on your careers as you do on diets?” it was as if she had struck a match.
