An Exciting Annoucement

Mr J and I

Four days ago on the 22nd of December, Mr J and I took another step in our lives together. A step that will keep me smiling for days, months, years and forever. A step that shows commitment and gives excitement. A step in which we can’t wait to share with the world.

Mr J is no longer my boyfriend, he is my FIANCEE!

Yes, WE ARE ENGAGED!!

The proposal was perfect for us. I wouldn’t change a thing and I’m super excited for what God has in store for us.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. – 1 John 4:7

Let’s get our craft on!

Lately I have not felt productive. This thing called work tends to drain all my juice out, however, today I wrote a list have started striking them out. Dot point number one *finish canvas’s. Check! I’m very much an amateur but that leaves room for ‘wow’ moments…

Project number one Project number one

If you ever invest in some canvas’s {try for bargain ones like mine} and you can make art too. All I used was paint, buttons and hot glue. Go for it!

Happy Friday everyone! What does your weekend have in store for you? Mine involves dance, tennis, Christmas baking, Mr J’s work dinner, and a family lunch! Super excited.

The Surprise Date

I Love You Everyday Mr J!

Yesterday, the 2nd of December, Mr J and I celebrated three years together.

For two weeks I had been looking forward to our anniversary eve. Mr J had informed me he was taking me to a surprise destination, I was to wear formal and be ready by 7:30pm. At that time, Mr J drove in the driveway in his new outfit and looking very swish. I was trusted to close my eyes from the bottom of the freeway for the final ten minute drive. I tried to guess where we were heading but with my directional skills, no luck! The car was parked and I opened my eyes to this incredible and impressive restaurant. Wow! We were seated at a window seat where we had a prime view of Adelaide’s lights, & the best seat for some fireworks in the distance and plane landings. The food was incredible and the experience was even better. Mr J and I shared so many laughs and conversation. I was spoilt.

I can’t thank God enough for blessing me with a man who I can call my true love, partner in crime, best friend, support, inspiration and personal comedian. We have shared so many amazing and difficult times together which have got us to where we are now and I wouldn’t change a thing! Mr J, thank you for being you and wanting to get to know me back in 2009.Happy Anniversary Mr J!

Life Today

Dear air conditioner, thankyou for cooling my car after I let it sit in 32 degree heat for three hours. Dear pay-day, you have helped me buy Christmas presents, fuel my car and buy some of these as a treat. You don’t come around fast enough. Dear Monday, sometimes the best way to start you is with some sweetness at breakfast. You were delicious! Dear Jason Mraz, Mr J and I have found a new love for your song ‘I won’t give up‘. It is amazingly relevant for our life together. Dear Mr J, you make me blush when you dress in your nice shirt, are neatly groomed and smell of goodness. Thankyou for making an effort to impress me. Dear Christmas, it is only 29 days until you visit. My excitement levels are growing.. can’t wait to party for Jesus!

Happy Monday everybody. Only four more days until the weekend!

Picnicing it up with Mr J-amazing

Sunday was glorious! There aren’t enough words to explain how beautiful it was. The day started with church where we witnessed four people dedicate their lives to God and get baptised, we also listened to a great friend’s message. The rest of the day was ‘date day’ for Mr J and I. We drove to this place & picnic time! {Picnics are fabulous.} The next four hours flew by. We ate nice food, drank yummier orange juice and burnt it all off laughing. We talked and learnt more about each other. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. God blessed us with wonderful weather and He has blessed me with an amazing man in my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Fun throughout

Today started with a lovely walk and chat with a long-time friend. We strolled past the beautiful green paddocks and animals the Hills have to offer. As I got dropped off home, I gained a gorgeous cardigan and top which was handed down from my friend. Privileged! This afternoon I spent hanging up a load of washing in the fresh, slightly warmer than usual air, cooking dinner, writing in my new journal and surfing the net for nice dining in Adelaide. Tonight, I decided it was my turn to spoil Mr J. Wearing my new cardigan, we went here and I ate a delicious chicken schnitty {which I couldn’t find anywhere in the States!}, we shared cheesecake for dessert and spent the next hour and more playing pool. I won one, I helped Mr J win another and Mr J won two on his own. It was fun. I came home to find my brother packing for his 4 day rock climbing camp, lollies on the table and an electric blanket heated bed. Life’s good –  God has given me a lot to be thankful for.

I feel alive

Today was great! It was a struggle to get out of my warm bed this morning but half an hour later it was worth it. I walked for an hour and a half with a netball friend {more walking I’ve done in over a week!} and enjoyed the fresh air. I came home to freshen up and then spent three hours with my ex-work colleagues. The company was lovely, the pecan pie was lovely and the chamomile tea was lovely – all in the presence of some sunshine and a new local cafe. I feel alive. It amazing how quickly happiness can come along after talking and laughing with friends.

Yesterday was also great. Church and Mr J’s family. Mr J and I enjoyed sharing our holiday experience through photos with them.

1 John 4:7
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Have a wonderful week! Share some love. Laugh. & remember to say thank you.
Until next time.

In Brief

Dear God. Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to see different areas of your wonderful creation. Thankyou for the beautiful views we are experiencing this week. Thankyou for keeping us safe as we travel over water, on the road and through the air. Thankyou for making things work out and for looking after my friends and family at home. You are the best!

Dear weight. I know you have increased since being overseas but I’ve decided to enjoy food and not worry. Chocolate is yummy and I have so many new things to try! I will just have to fight with you when I return home. Until then, goodbye food guilt.

Dear Mr J. Thankyou for putting up with the grumpy Teagan and forgiving me. Thankyou for wanting to get to know me better. I love the relationship that we are sharing with God. You’re pretty cool!

Dear home. I miss you and can’t wait to share the experiences we have had over here. I pray that you are keeping safe, laughing lots and enjoying the little things. I love you all!

Dear Camera. I wouldn’t know what to do without you. You help my loved ones see what we are doing. You remind me of memories and experiences I have been through. I love how you never hesitate coming on a trip with Mr J and I. Thanks for sticking around.

Lots of hugs to everyone at home!! From Mr J and I xx

The Wedding

Yesterday Mr J and I bought a card for the wedded couple. After looking at a few. We loved and agreed with what it said:

When the Lord joins man and women, the two as one should be, yet in the home they share with Him – in faith, the two are three… He multiplies their blessings, their sadness He divides and for their different dreams and needs, He equallly provides… He adds to their fullfillment and takes away their care, and one in Him, their total life abounds with love to spare!

So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not seperate. ~Matthew 19:6

Today we shared a beautiful day with an amazing couple. The ceremony was gorgeous. American weddings tend to be bigger than Australian weddings, for example today there were 7 groomsman and 7 bridesmaids + 1 junior bridesmaid. The ceremony was a true celebration, with incredible and lovely decorations and joyful environement. God provided an incredbile day for the newly married couple today and we thank him for allowing us to be apart of it. The reception also allowed me to learn some American line dancing and Mr J and I met some more lovely people. We left the night with a bag of homemade cookies made by loved ones of the newly weds.

& here are a couple of my favourites of Mr J and I on the night…
