Orange Freshness

It’s predicted to get to 31 degrees today. I would say it is very close to that. Couldn’t find a better day to make homemade orange juice! Before my grandparents left for their holiday, they gave me a bag of South Australian oranges. My body wouldn’t cope with me eating that many oranges on my own, however drinking that many in juice is another story. I was surprised how much juice these fruit produce. I have a supply for a week or more! Not only do I have a lot, they are super tasty. No sugar needed, all natural and still sweet enough. Yum. Got to love your natural source of Vitamin C. Can’t wait to share it.

To make Orange Juice, all you need is a juicer {electric or not}, oranges and something to store the juice in.
Simply, squeeze the juice and pour into your juice storer and hey presto! Easy.

Last night I had some sibling bonding time with my brother. He picked me up from work, we went to the house watched movies, cooked dinner and talked. It was great. He left this afternoon after another movie, a trip to the shops and some lollies. Thanks brother!

Night shift tonight.

Picnicing it up with Mr J-amazing

Sunday was glorious! There aren’t enough words to explain how beautiful it was. The day started with church where we witnessed four people dedicate their lives to God and get baptised, we also listened to a great friend’s message. The rest of the day was ‘date day’ for Mr J and I. We drove to this place & picnic time! {Picnics are fabulous.} The next four hours flew by. We ate nice food, drank yummier orange juice and burnt it all off laughing. We talked and learnt more about each other. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. God blessed us with wonderful weather and He has blessed me with an amazing man in my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Inspire #4

Success can be created from the assistance of a super attitude. & from experience. Sometimes the little things in our life can be just as important than the big things! These quotes cover that pretty well.

Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success. ~Swarni Sivananda

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things ~ Robert Brault

HAPPY FATHERS DAY! Today I enjoyed the little and big things. Mr J and I attended church in the morning  which was followed by a beautiful spring drive to a castle for lunch. Here we celebrated my grandmas 80th and were thankful for our fathers. My brother and I gave dad some of his favourite nuts which were almost gone by the evening {with something else on it’s way}. The night finished with Mr J’s relatives. Today taught me that I could fit in a weeks worth of food into my stomach in one day… it was good! Before bed I was inspired by this on tv. Tonight I had to hang one leg out of the covers due to warmth. Spring is here!

Rest, Cycle and Food

We woke up tired today. Mr J and I forced ourselves up this morning to eat breakfast before it was close time. Once we finished eating out cereal, bacon, eggs and pancakes we snuck a doughnut and some yoghurt back to our room to save for lunch. We tend to fill up on breakfast which will generally last our stomachs until dinner, therefore less money spent. We touched base with home on skype and relaxed in our hotel watching a movie {I may have fallen asleep, or as my Dad says “I watched the TV with my eyes shut”}.

After a couple hours in an air conditioned room we hired two bicycles and went for a ride along the Pinellas Trail. It was a chance to drive in American traffic, on the wrong side of the road {for Australians} and experienced more ‘all way’ STOP signs. Fun. It was warm but the breeze was cooling. After riding for one and a half hours we stopped for ice-cream and went back to our hotel to jump straight into the pool. After not seeing a squirrel at all this week, today we saw at least three.

Showered and fresh now. Mr J’s relatives visited us at our hotel to say goodbye. A taxi picks us up after a morning wake up call, early in the morning. Due to such an early start we cleaned and packed up our room before heading out for dinner at a American style pub tonight. Mr J filled up on a porker combo {pork sausages, pork ribs and 1/4 chicken) with sweet potato fries and garlic mash, while I enjoyed my rainbow trout salad baguette with greens. It was nice.

Mr J and I are looking forward to starting our days as big kids tomorrow. Preparing ourselves with sunscreen and watching the disney channel on our widescreen tv.
